In today's article, we'll take a look at an important part of BOOM Events: the Online E-shop. You'll learn where to find it, how to use it to increase sales and what alternatives there are to raise your ticket pre-sale. So let's get right to it, shall we?
What is the Online E-shop?
This is your own page where visitors can see all the events you want to show them. These are both past and present events and visitors can go through them easily. They are sorted by date, with the most recent ones automatically showing up at the top. Events that have already ended are after the active ones and are visibly marked in grey,
so that it's immediately clear that they're over.
Where can I find it and how do I add my events to it?
First, activate your E-shop in Apps and Services and then it will appear in your left menu. This way, you can see right away what your E-shop looks like and how your visitors will see it.
If you want your event to be visible on E-shop, click the Sales channels after you create your event and tickets and choose to publish it there.
It is, of course, possible to create a "private" event that you do not want to publish on your E-shop. The event is already created if you click on the Create Event button during creation, but not visible on your E-shop, unless you publish it there in your Sales channels.
What are the benefits of the Online e-shop?
There are a few. Can you find one that works for you too?
Your own webpage
Creating and maintaining your own website is time and money-consuming work. If you don't have the capacity, E-shop should be more than enough. At the top, visitors will see your organization's name and icons for sharing the entire site. So you can show all your events here and the visitors will get a good idea of the type of events you organize. And then they can choose which event is right for them (preferably all of them, right?).
Easy sharing
As we wrote in the previous paragraph, to share an entire page, click on one of the icons at the top of the E-shop (or copy the link directly from the URL address line) and you can share all your events with your fans right away. So you don't have to overwhelm them with a bunch of links, just use one.
Free of charge
The fact that it is (and will be) free is an added bonus.
Future customization
We are working on it so you can customize your E-shop as you like: add a logo, and customize colors and font. It's important to build your own brand so that your fans recognize you right away and fall in love with your events in the blink of an eye.
What are the alternatives to Online e-shop?
While E-shop has many benefits, it may not be right for you and your events. Of course, we have alternatives for larger and less frequent event organizers.
Individual event detail
You can share just one event instead of the entire E-shop. It too contains icons to share with your audience. This event detail contains more information that you can easily pass on to your visitors. We recommend adding a suitable photo, catchy text, and all your contact information.
Event widget for your website
If you have your own website where you regularly inform your fans about your events and want to offer them the opportunity to buy tickets in a few clicks, an event widget is a great way to give them that. It is actually an order form where the visitor sees your tickets and can easily buy them there without leaving your site. This widget includes just one event of your choosing (you can of course choose more of them)
You can activate your widget editor in Workspace → Apps and Services --> Event widget editor for 4€/month. Then a new section will appear on the left side of your menu. Select the event you want to create the widget for, choose a color palette, and use the Generate code button to get the HTML code. Paste it into your site where you need it and check that it displays correctly.
E-shop Widget
This is an combination of both Event widget and E-shop. Just put your E-shop into your own colours and fonts and embed it all into your own website. There. No need to create more.
Custom event calendar
We are able to make you a personalized calendar of events directly for your website. There, the visitor can select the individual event, its date, and with it the time slots of arrival. Again, this will make it easier for people to buy tickets and therefore you will lose less of them in the buying process.
The calendar is a great thing for organizers who work with multiple event dates and time slots, such as theme parks, escape rooms, zoos, and castles as well as museums and galleries.
